Last day in Buenos AIres

After the alarm rang, my brothers and I woke up extra happy in the efforts to forget that our inevitable departure was looming over us. We head for the school and find out that it was Christian’s twin host brothers, Ivan and Miguel’s, birthday today. We sing happy birthday with the class and head to our room to discuss our favorite memories of the trip in hopes of bettering the experience for future generations. To show appreciation for our brothers, we added little notes on a Padlet. We then had our breakfast break before going into a room with the whole exchange program to talk about the favorite memories, experiences, etc. about each other with a finale of taking pictures and receiving both diplomas and art work created for and from our brothers. As the group realized it was the final day for any last minute shopping, we went out walking with our chaperones to buy souvenirs with any pesos remaining.

When we arrived back at school, we ate lunch and, after a bit of waiting, went to the younger students’ classes to help with their english class; learning about them and teaching about us. As the bell rang to signify the end of our day some people went home and some went to do some extra shopping on the side, all before some of us went to Fuerza Bruta. Fuerza Bruta is a concert/musical event that makes you feel out of this world. After the event, we went home and either finished packing or went to bed, still not ready to accept the reality that our time in Argentina has disappeared in a flash.
