Long Weekend

This past weekend Argentinians celebrated Flag day. Flag Day is on June 20th and people got to have a four days weekend to enjoy, relax, and share with family.

Here is a summary of some of the activities we had the chance to do during four days.

Christian- He went to a camp in the country and he rode a horse. He helped to vaccinate cows and gave them shots for fleas and other diseases. Helped around the farm, got to experience Argentina culture first hand.

Will- I drove to the country side with my host brother's family. I met his cousins and played tennis. I also went to the thermal waters and swam in the pools there. I watched a soccer game and played "mafia" which is like a mystery game.

Max- Went to two barbecues or "asados" in Spanish. He went to to the country and hung out with his host brother speaking Spanish. Max loved the meat because it was tender and moist. The cattle in Argentina are free range which means the meat is more flavorful.

Aaron- He went to a barbecue with Tomas and another student's family. He played mini golf with Peter's grandfather. He was able to relax and spent time with his host brother.

Sebastian- He played a lot of soccer. He played for the local team because some players weren’t able to make it. Unfortunately the score was 9-0 and Sebastian and his brother's team lost. However this team is the best team in the league. Even with the loss, Sebastian and his team tried their hardest. A lot of indoor soccer called football. He got 4 goals which is impressive.

Pablo- He spend the long weekend with his host family. He talked to his host brothers, and watched tv shows with the family. He went to Big Ponds at 8 o’clock and watched another movie with the family. The movie was about two realities clashing. Complex sci-fi mystery that causes suspense. Is there a multiverse?

Another pictures from the long weekend.
